This month at SD Projects, we welcome Chief Imam Dr Sayed Razawi OBE, one of the UK’s most respected faith leaders working at the intersection of Islamic philosophy, ecology, and social justice.
Together, we’ll explore ‘Mizan’ — the Islamic concept of balance — and how it can guide meaningful responses to climate crises, sustainability, and resource use. Chief Imam Razawi will reflect on how faith traditions can help us rethink our relationship with the natural world, drawing on his experience at COP26, where he joined global faith leaders in calling for urgent climate action and a just transition.
Whether you’re interested in religion, environmental ethics, or simply new ways of understanding our shared responsibilities to our planet, this event offers an accessible entry point into how spiritual traditions can shape everyday ecological practice.
A First Fridays event, part of SD Projects’ Intersections cultural programming.
